About the webinar:
This Bat Week (October 24-31) - just ahead of the spookiest holiday of the year - Wildlife Rescue and Community Bat Programs of BC are excited to present a free webinar all about bats in British Columbia.

Bats have been around for more than 50 million years, playing a vital role in the health of our environment. Through this webinar, we want to raise awareness on the importance of bats, how to peacefully coexist with them, and why they need our help.

What you can expect:
  • The Importance of Bats: Learn more about why bats matter, which species call BC home, the threats they face, and tips for peaceful coexistence.
  • Inside Wildlife Rescue: Hear about patient stories, including the rare Spotted Bat, and learn what brings bats into care and how our team helps them recover and return to the wild.
  • Rabies Awareness: Get essential information from the CDC on rabies and what it means for people and wildlife.
  • Bat Health & Conservation: Learn about White-nose Syndrome (WNS) surveillance, and ways you can support bats in your community.

By registering, you’ll receive access to the webinar recording to watch at your convenience.
